Robert Salemi Obituary
Robert "Bob" Salemi, beloved son, brother, uncle and true friend passed away on April 19, 2025 in Silver spring, Maryland. He was 81 years old.
Born in Boston, Bob grew up in Bridgeport. He graduated from Bassick School in 1963 and joined the Navy, where he served honorably. He participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion, a lifelong point of pride.
He attended Norwalk State College and built a distinguished career in information technology and computer systems. He worked with Perini Corporation in the Negev Desert and later served as the computer manager for Turner Construction Company until his retirement in 2012.
Bob was an avid golfer and formed deep friendships. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Constance Salemi, her three children and their families..
A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at St. Peter Church, 695 Colorado Ave., Bridgeport. The family invites all who remember him to join them.
